Switch out your traditional lawn with drought-tolerant, cold hardy grasses that require mowing only once or twice a year, no fertilizing, and no nasty chemicals to keep weed free.

This project required a dry mix of native prairie grasses and flowers. This will take three plus years to establish the young natives famously beneficial, long root system.

Integrating native plants with ornamental allows us to create a designed wilderness look. Using natives in this design sets this garden up for long term success as the selected plants are well-suited for their environment and will help support our animal and plant community.
